I write this to you to buy you some time this week. You said things have been hard around there. From your letter I know you haven’t been eating too well lately. I guess the guards tend to take any of the nice stuff that I send. I was wondering if you had received those chocolate eggs, sometimes those get through, right? I know how much you like them around this time of year.
So I spoke to Richard regarding the appeal, (BTW he was so nice to deal with, where did you find him?) He told me this is how it’s going to work. On Thursday the 19th they’re gonna transfer you downtown. You’ll be on the 6.30 bus to the circuit court, just like last time. I will be there this time, I promise. I know I haven’t been very supportive through all this. I’m sorry. Please don’t be upset.
They should start right at 9am. Richard said that the DNA lab is still behind, but he seems confident that it will be ready by the time they get into the proceedings. Please don’t worry honey, I think this time he’s telling the truth.
I’ve got to get going, your father and I are headed to mass. We’re asking for all the help we can get tonight. I miss you so much. Sea fuerte mi hijo.
